SRI’s South African entity starts truck & bus tyres production

 Sumitomo Rubber South Africa (Pty) Limited (SRSA), a South African subsidiary of Sumitomo Rubber Industries, has started production of truck and bus tyres from Mid July this year.

The company invested over $72 million to install new, cutting-edge production facilities at our South Africa Factory to have steady supply of truck and bus tyre for markets throughout Africa
Until now, (SRSA) relied on imports to supply African markets with truck and bus tyres. “Now, with the start of local production of truck and bus tyres, we have gained the ability to ensure a stable supply for Africa. Moving forward, the SRI Group will continue working to enhance our tire sales business in Africa as part of our efforts to further grow and develop our overall global business,” said the SRI in a statement.
