Hofmann Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH is a globally active company and is located in the beautiful area of Rheinhessen in Germany. The company headquaters is in Worms where machines are developed and manufactured by the highly qualified Hofmann staff. The roots of the company goes back to the year 1931. In 1934 the first Hofmann balancing machines were launched in the market. Since the 1970s Hofmann has been building tyre uniformity measuring and tyre balancing machines. This laid the foundations for today’s very successful tyre testing machines. The first wheel assembly machines were built in 1970 and the first processor-aided wheel balancing machines were introduced in 1977. Since that time, Hofmann has been producing fully automatic wheel and tyre assembly systems for the automotive industry.


The tyre industry, the automotive industry and, last but not least, the end users make high demands on the quality of tyres. Hofmann tyre testing machines are known world-wide for their high quality and reliability as well as for excellent measuring results.
