Bridgestone India increases production at Pune plant

Bridgestone India is enhancing operations at its new plant in Pune to tap growing demand for radial tyres, reported Economic Times.
According to the report, the company is aiming at a production of 10,000 units of passenger car radial and 1,000 units of truck and bus radial tyres by the end of 2015.
The report further added that declining to give any figures Bridgestone India managing director Tomio Fukuzumi said, the company is a top player in the replacement radial tyres of passenger cars in the country. “We are doing well in the replacement radial tyres. The slowdown in the automobile market has affected sales in OEM segment,” he said.
