Apollo Tyres net sales at Rs 32580 million in Q1 FY18

Apollo Tyres has registered a profit of Rs 880 million (consolidated) on the net sales of Rs 32580 million in the April-June first quarter of 2017-18.  While Indian Operations’ grew marginally to close at Rs 2284 crore, European Operations clocked a revenue of Rs 1016 crore on the back of good volume growth in the passenger vehicle segment. JK Tyre’ s digital initiative in India to connect farmers with experts

JK Tyre and Industries Limited has launched ‘Jagruti Se Pragati’ initiative aimed at connecting farmers to agricultural experts through advanced digital interventions. Under this initiative, mobile units equipped with virtual reality technology and webcast-based conferencing tools with touch screen technology toured remote villages in the north Indian states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh for a month, touching about 50,000 farmers in 1,000 villages. Goodyear: Sales, income down in H1 2017

Goodyear’s sales for the first six months of 2017 were $7.4 billion, down 2 per cent from the same period in 2016, reflecting lower tire unit volume, partially offset by improved price/mix. Goodyear’s year-to-date net income of $313 million ($1.23 per share) is down from $386 million ($1.43 per share) in H1 2016. The company reported first half segment operating income of $746 million in 2017, down from $950 million a year ago. Cooper Tire declares dividend

Cooper Tire and Rubber Company has announced a quarterly dividend of 10.5 cents per share. This will mark the 182nd consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Cooper Tire and Rubber Company.
