GCAPS conducts course on vehicle simulation and tyre modelling
The Global Center for Automotive Performance Simulation (GCAPS), a world-class facility providing services for both vehicle and tyre, including testing, simulation, and modelling, is conducting a three-day course on vehicle simulation, including the critical component of tyre modelling. The course is intended for all those involved with vehicle development, tyre development, vehicle simulation, and component development.
On Day 1, it will focus on vehicle simulation through use cases of durability and vehicle dynamics. The remaining days will include an introduction to tyre mechanics, testing practices, and tyre responses. As part of the course, two of the most commonly used tyre models in the industry (MF-Swift and FTire), providing recommended testing procedures and associated theories, will be reviewed.
Vehicle simulation can be a powerful tool in the vehicle development process, helping improve quality, reduce cost, and exceed customer expectations.
