Yokohama to participate in Tokyo Auto Salon 2018
The Yokohama Rubber Company will participate in Tokyo Auto Salon 2018, Japan’s annual celebration of the custom car, to be held from January 12 to 14 at Makuhari Messe. With the ‘Rain-safe Yokohama’ theme, the company will display several tyres with good wet-grip performance through its tyre and wheel booths.
The tyre booth will showcase the racing car that received the 2017 championship in the Japanese Super Formula Championship Series, which run solely on ‘ADVAN’ racing tyres. Tyres such as ADVAN Sports V105, ADVAN dB V552, ADVAN HF Type D and BluEarth series of fuel-efficient tyres will be exhibited on a European- or Japanese-made custom car or tuning car at the event.
“Scheduled on-stage events at the Tokyo Auto Salon include talk shows featuring teams and drivers from the Japanese Super Formula Championship series and Super GT series who will share their experience running races on Yokohama tyres. Visitors will also be able to see videos introducing new Yokohama tyres on a large LED display,” the company said.
The wheel booth will mainly feature ADVAN Racing aluminium wheels, including the unveiling of several new wheel products. The on-display cars will showcase the ADVAN Racing RZ-F2 model and the ADVAN Racing TC4 which recently underwent a model change, Yokohama further said.
