Troester appoints Zachary T Boaz as new US CEO
German equipment manufacturer for the rubber and cable industry, Troester has appointed industry veteran Zachary T Boaz as the new President and CEO for the US subsidiary. He succeeds Michael Neubauer, who steps down after 40 years, two decades of which in the US, at Troester. Zachary has significant technical and sales experience in the tyre and rubber industries. He started as Executive VP for Troester Machinery Limited on September 1, 2017 and will transition to President & CEO starting January 1, 2018.
“With his technical know-how in rubber and tyre machinery, combined with international sales experience, Zach is an ideal fit for achieving Troester’s goals of more customer satisfaction and growth in the US,” said a company statement.
Boaz studied mechanical engineering and polymer materials at the University of Akron. Starting as a project engineer in the rubber hose industry, he moved into product design, tooling design and extrusion process development as an engineer with Mantaline Corporation.
He then moved to the aerospace industry as program management with Goodrich Corporation and was quickly promoted to Business Development Manager. In 2010, he moved to a full-time international sales position in the tyre machinery industry with The Steelastic Co. where he was eventually promoted as VP of Sales and Marketing.
