Himile completes mould plant in Hungary
China’s Himile Group has completed construction of its vulcanized tyre mould plant in Hungary’s Székesfehérvár. The investment is valued at HUF 1.4 billion, the Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) said in a statement. The plant will serve China and Europe (Photo courtesy: HIPA).
Himile said that the first phase of the investment could be followed by further developments in Hungary.
Currently the plant’s area is 3,100 sqm, which the company hopes to expand to 6,000 sqm in 3-5 years. In line with this investment, the Himileʼs staff of 50 could be raised to 200.
Himile expects further expansion in Europe, as well as a rise in production capacity and product ranges produced here, the stattement said.
Himile supplies products for leading tyre makers including Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli, Hungarian news agency MTI reported.
