Hankook to present comprehensive line-up for European mkts at Reifen
Hankook will showcase its comprehensive line-up for the European market on two booths at the world’s leading trade fair for tyres, Reifen, which will be taking place from 24 to 27 May this year.
In Hall 3, Booth 3A34, the premium tyre manufacturer will be presenting its latest product range and new technologies for the OEM and replacement markets. “With their technological excellence, quality and performance, Hankook tyres convince consumers and car manufacturers alike,” said the company.
One highlight on the trade fair booth is the new Hankook premium comfort flagship Ventus Prime, the current test winner in the 2016 summer tyre test carried out by the German car magazine AutoBild among 50 brands of the size 205/55R16V.
The tyre was developed with a view to achieving the ideal mix between performance, safety, comfort and eco-friendliness. Drivers benefit from superior driving properties and a high degree of comfort as well as further improved braking performances on both wet and dry roads. The tyre is already available in 53 dimensions in rim sizes from 15 to 18 inches, and was chosen by the AutoBild tyre testers as a winner particularly due to its outstanding handling on wet and dry roads combined with high fuel efficiency and mileage.
The numerous OEM activities for leading European car manufacturers such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Porsche also occupy prominent positions on the booth. In addition, visitors can experience Hankook technologies SEALGUARD, which will be part of the OEM equipment on the Volkswagen Touran and Passat models, and Hankook Runflat, which is being used on the new BMW 7 Series, which is on display at the Reifen fair in Essen. Both tyre technologies stand for Hankook’s development philosophy of offering drivers a safer and more comfortable yet powerful driving experience at all times. SEALGUARD is Hankook’s exclusive self-sealing tyre technology which makes repairs to punctures in the tread possible thanks to the unique SEALGUARD sealing material in the self-sealing tyres. Since self-sealing tyres mean that the car can continue its journey even after a puncture, vehicles fitted with these advanced tyres no longer need to carry a spare tyre, freeing up additional space in the vehicle and making inconvenient tyre changing at the roadside a thing of the past. Alongside its safety advantages, Hankook Tires SEALGUARD products offer the same driving experience as other models as the tyres have the same structure without this technology.
Hankook will also be displaying the current summer product range of its second brand, Laufenn, which will be on show on the neighbouring Booth 3A32.
