Hankook extends sponsorship with Europa League for another three years

As part of its marketing strategy, Hankook Tire has extended its sponsorship contract with the UEFA Europa League for another three years until the end of the 2017/18 season.

“Sport sponsorship activities are an integral part of the company’s marketing strategy in the region and have contributed to 13% and 6% increases in consumer’s brand awareness and brand reference respectively in the European market,” said the company in a statement.

Hankook will benefit from additional brand exposure such as increased perimeter board advertising in the stadiums, media backdrops during players interviews, as well as during official UEFA press conferences. In contrast to the previous sponsorship cycle Hankook’s perimeter board advertising will be visible from the group stages through to the final match. 192 teams from 54 countries take part each season in the UEFA Europa League, from the qualifying stages until the final each season. From the group stages to the final an additional 205 matches take place to determine the champions of one of European footballs most prestigious trophies.  With an average match week audience of 69 million TV-spectators throughout the competition and broadcast in 200 countries and territories worldwide, the Hankook brand shall be exposed worldwide.
