Camry’s new avatar – dashing inside out
Toyota’s Camry has always been a best-seller. The sedan has been around for some time now. But things are getting hot as the competition from upgraded versions of Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, Nissan Ultima etc. That has caught on the Toyota engineers and the result is an out-and-out redesigned Camry readying for 2015. The sweeping changes have done wonders inside out, strengthened by noise insulation on the floor, redefined dynamics and the works.
The dashing new look has thrown out the old chunky, old world appearance. It’s now high-tech and up to what the market trend demands with LED front running lamps plus available LED auto-leveling lamps for the low and high beams. Taillights get a new design that tapers in with the side sheet metal. The dashboard is soft-touch with a USB port and wireless charging pad.
The body structure is stiffer and the electric power steering has been newly calibrated. The windows and doors have been improved and the side mirrors allows better air flow. The 2015 Camry has nearly 2,000 new parts compared to the 2014 model.
